About Equality Cincinnati • Our mission is Working for full equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
and transgender people in Greater Cincinnati
Preventing discrimination and violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity • We are an independent local organization dedicated to making change here where we live. • We welcome everyone who believes in our mission to join us. • We are continuing the work that began in 2004 when thousands of people in our region came together to repeal an anti-gay law in Cincinnati known as “Article XII”. This was the only ballot issue victory for the gay community in the country that year. • Three local GLBT groups united in 2005 to create Equality Cincinnati: One Human Family, Stonewall Cincinnati, and Citizens to Restore Fairness. • Your contributions stay in and help your community.
